Politique de Confidentialité
Last Updated: August 20, 2026
Welcome to TempoEmails ("we", "our", "us"). We operate the temporary, disposable email service available at tempoemails.com (the "Service"). Your privacy is the foundational cornerstone of our platform. TempoEmails was specifically built to provide an anonymous, hassle-free layer of protection between your personal identity and the public internet.
This Privacy Policy explains what limited information is processed when you access or use TempoEmails, how that data is utilized, how long it is retained, our practices regarding cookies and third-party advertising, and your rights under global privacy regulations including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
Core Privacy Commitment: TempoEmails does not require registration, does not ask for personal credentials, and does not sell or profile your personal identity. All temporary inboxes and incoming emails are automatically and permanently purged.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
Unlike traditional email service providers, we do not build user profiles or monetize your personal credentials. When using TempoEmails:
- We never ask for your real name, home address, physical location, or phone number.
- We never require you to provide a primary personal or business email address to use our service.
- We never require passwords or account creation for standard disposable mailboxes.
- We never collect credit card numbers, billing information, or payment credentials.
- We never collect government identifiers, social security numbers, or biometric data.
2. Information We Process and How We Use It
To deliver incoming emails to your browser in real time and protect our infrastructure from automated abuse, we process a minimal set of operational technical data:
A. Disposable Inboxes and Received Messages
When you generate a temporary email address or receive an incoming message, our mail routing systems receive the raw email payload (sender address, recipient address, timestamp, subject line, headers, text/HTML content, and any attached files). This content is temporarily stored in our encrypted ephemeral database solely for the purpose of rendering it in your web browser interface.
B. Local Browser Storage (localStorage)
TempoEmails utilizes modern browser storage technologies (such as localStorage and sessionStorage) exclusively on your local client device. This data includes:
- Your currently active temporary email address and mailbox access token.
- Your UI preferences (e.g., Light / Dark mode toggle, audio alert settings).
- A local cache of recently viewed messages to allow fast navigation without unnecessary network requests.
This client-side data remains entirely on your machine and can be cleared instantly by clicking the "Delete Inbox" button on TempoEmails or by clearing your browser's site data.
C. Ephemeral Server Logs and Rate Limiting
When your browser interacts with our servers, standard web server logs temporarily record metadata such as your IP address, browser user-agent string, referring URL, and request timestamps. We use this data strictly for:
- Mitigating Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks and malicious API flooding.
- Preventing automated bot abuse and unauthorized bulk generation of mailboxes.
- Diagnosing server errors, optimizing load distribution, and monitoring infrastructure health.
Server log entries are maintained on rotating, short-term buffers and are automatically wiped on a regular schedule.
3. Data Retention and Automatic Deletion
TempoEmails is built from the ground up as a strictly transient service. We enforce rigorous automated data expiration schedules:
- Incoming Email Expiration: All received emails, message bodies, metadata, and attachments are automatically and irreversibly deleted from our servers after a defined lifespan (typically between 1 hour and 24 hours from arrival).
- Inbox Deactivation: Temporary inboxes that remain inactive or expire are reclaimed and purged from our routing tables.
- Manual Instant Purge: When you click "Delete Inbox" or "Change Address", your active session is severed immediately, local storage is cleared, and associated messages are queued for immediate deletion.
- No Cold Storage or Backups: We do not create long-term archives or archival tape backups of disposable email contents. Once an email is purged, it cannot be recovered by any party, including our engineering team.
4. Cookies and Advertising Technologies
To keep TempoEmails 100% free and accessible to users worldwide without charging subscription fees, we display online advertisements provided by third-party advertising partners, including Google AdSense.
A. Google AdSense & DoubleClick Cookies
Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to TempoEmails or other websites across the internet:
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve personalized ads to you based on your visits to our site and other destinations across the web.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting AboutAds.info or Your Online Choices (for European visitors).
B. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
Most web browsers allow you to manage cookie preferences through their configuration menus. You can configure your browser to reject third-party cookies, clear cookies upon browser exit, or notify you when a cookie is placed. Note that disabling essential functional storage may impact the continuity of your temporary inbox sessions.
5. Third-Party Services and Infrastructure
We partner with reputable infrastructure providers to operate our high-availability global network:
- Email Routing & API Providers: We integrate with upstream mail routing gateways and high-throughput temporary email API endpoints to receive and parse incoming SMTP traffic.
- Content Delivery Networks & Security: We utilize CDNs (such as Cloudflare) to deliver static assets rapidly, terminate SSL/TLS connections securely, and shield our services from malicious cyberattacks.
- Web Analytics: We may use privacy-first, anonymized analytics frameworks to monitor aggregate site traffic, device types, and page load speeds without storing personally identifiable information.
6. Security Precautions and Disclaimers
We employ industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to safeguard data processed through TempoEmails. All communication between your browser and our servers is secured using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3/HTTPS).
Important Notice: Temporary email addresses are public and disposable in nature. Because mailbox access does not require individual password authentication, anyone who knows or guesses an identical address string could theoretically view incoming messages for that address while active. Do not use TempoEmails for banking, sensitive personal correspondence, legal communications, or high-value permanent accounts.
7. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Protecting the privacy of young children is critically important. TempoEmails is not designed for, marketed to, or directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 for residents of the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from children. If we become aware that personal information of a child has inadvertently reached our systems, we take prompt steps to permanently delete the data.
8. Your Global Privacy Rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may hold specific statutory rights regarding personal data:
A. European Economic Area & UK (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you reside in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, rectify, restrict, or request the erasure of any personal data we hold. However, because TempoEmails does not maintain persistent accounts, identifiable records, or user-indexed profiles, we generally cannot match arbitrary requests to temporary messages once they have expired from our short-term cache.
B. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request its deletion, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal data for monetary consideration. To opt out of advertising cookies, please consult our cookie settings and the third-party opt-out mechanisms listed in Section 4.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect updates in our technology, operational practices, legal mandates, or advertising network requirements. When revisions occur, the updated date at the top of this page will be modified. Continued use of TempoEmails following any posted modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
